I was trying to transfer 300 GB data on my supposedly 54 mbps Wifi network. The standard route of using \\ip.add.re.ss\dir_name\ was taking ages. After reading the article, I used the mapped network drive and the speed has doubled. thanks. Meanwhile, IIS is ON now too so that i can ftp next time. Thank you so much.

Hello,

Your script works fine when I use your link (http://www.seabreezecomputers.com/tips/touchscroll.js). But when I copy the script to my own .js-file, it doesn't work anymore. I double-checked the div-id and the touchScoll('your_div_id') if they were equal and they. Could you send me your complete script or the .js file?

Ramon

Thank you, brother. Your script is really amazing because it helped a website having a large content. Your script saved our day!!!

One of the sites suggested in the comments earlier, www.allfreeimages.net, concerns me, as I have not been able to locate a license or terms of use page on that site. A site offering "royalty free" assets should always have a license statement readily available. Is this something I'm overlooking on this site, or do they truly not have any license or terms of use page?

if (percent > 100) { percent=100; } // Bug fix from Martijn189 on 4/13/10

// Write the new percent in the progress bar window
document.getElementById('percent').innerHTML=percent + '%';
// Make the width of the bar wider so that it matches the percent
document.getElementById('bar').style.width=new_width + 'px';

Hi whelb5050,

The speech recognition seems to do really well for common names. Dr. John Doe works good and many other common names. For uncommon names, if it gets it wrong then you could try creating a custom command. For example, here is an uncommon spelling of a name: "Alexus Rodrigues". If I say that name then the speech recognition prints out the common spelling of "Alexis Rodriguez". So assuming I do not have an Alexis Rodriguez in the database I could create this custom command:

Phrase: Alexis Rodriguez
Action: Alexus Rodrigues

I hope that helps,

Jeff
